When you’re in a room, networking or selling or marketing, you want people to like you. To be interested in what you’re selling. To sign on for your service or your product. What do we do?
We tell them everything we know about what we do. No, no, no. We need to make them want what we know and we need them to want to pay us for what we know.
Instead we overwhelm them with knowledge instead of giving them an opportunity to get to know us better. And we need to find out more about THEM, and what they need.
So only tell them enough so you provide the barest minimum. A teaser of information. Only enough so they’ll want to come back for more of your gems of wisdom or more of the product you provide. Give them only a tiny demo and leave them wanting more.
